Menu Plan Monday: Week of February 2

Looking for ideas for your weekly menu? Go visit the Menu Plan Monday linkup over at OrgJunkie's webjoint. Oh me, oh my, oh Menu Plans!

I stocked up on the last day of the Kroger Mega Savings Event (yesterday 2/1) and I'm psyched for the Daytona 500 sale promotion at Kroger this week. My pantry is *happy*.

I haven't cooked the soup from last week so I'm moving that over to this week. It looks to be a terribly busy week for me so I'm planning easy meals that can cook in the crockpot.

Here's what I've got:

Monday

Cincinnati Chili {made with Gold Star spice packet} + salad

Tuesday

O'Charley's {copycat} Potato Soup + rolls
{FYI: I'll use real cheese in this, not Velveeta!}

Wednesday

Slow Cooker Chicken Enchilada Casserole + Pinto Beans and Tortillas (with some lettuce, tomato, etc)

Thursday

Honey Baked Chicken + Rice + Veggies

Friday

Armour Italian Meatballs and Peppers Penne + salad

Saturday

Slow Cooker Sausage with Mixed Barbecue Beans + rice

Sunday

Free day!

I've posted the grocery list needed for this menu plan as a GoogleDoc; find it right here. You should be able to print it right from your browser.

If you see that I missed any ingredients, please drop a comment or email me; I'll revise the document as soon as possible.

Be sure to come back tomorrow, Tuesday, February 2, 2009, for my weekly feature, Let's Go Krogering! I'll show you the deals + coupon matchups I found for the items on the shopping list for my menu plan at my local Kroger so you can get 'em, too!

Thank you for reading and subscribing to The New Frugal Mom!

  4. I definitely "borrowed" some of your recipes. I have just recently started menu planning and find it challenging sometimes. It helps so much to have blogs like yours to support my efforts! Glad I found you!

  5. Tracy: LOL! They're definitely not my recipes! I just search for ones I know my family would like and for ingredients I have on hand or will get on sale each week.

    Still, glad it's helping you!
