This week's Let's Go Krogering! post is going up late; apologies. I didn't get my Krogering done until this afternoon.

Between the amount of goodies I still have stockpiled from my trip two weeks ago (during the last 10 Item Mega Event sale) just before I left for BlogHer in Chicago and the simple fact that it's summer and I'm not cooking nearly as much as I do during the school year, I honestly didn't need too much once again this week (you can see last week's updated trip right here).

My Kroger Trip, Tuesday, August 4, 2009:

Spent: $68.65
Saved: $34.05, or 33%

Here's the real shocker - I used only (4) paper coupons, two of which were $1.00 OYNO (off your next order) catalinas that I earned two weeks ago. I also found some really nice Kroger brand ecoupons on Shortcuts, specifically for the ice cream treats, the cookies, and the salad dressing, all items we need/use/want around here.

I'm glad we didn't need much because I really needed a break from couponing in general this week. Don't get me wrong; I do love what effective and systematic couponing does for my budget and my ability to stockpile what we use regularly. It's just good to be able to use that stockpile so I can give myself a rest from the matching, the gathering, and the clipping of the coupons!

Oh, and I should also note that the picture above doesn't show the two gallons of milk that my hubs Knute already bought on Sunday night for $1.98 ea; I'm starting to think a milking cow would be more cost effective in the long run for these kiddos of mine. Whew!

What deals did you find at Kroger this week? Link *your* Let's Go Krogering! post all week and help another reader save some $$!

**As always, please add a link back to my Let's Go Krogering! post in your Krogering post and be sure that you add your post's permalink to the Mr. Linky so everyone else can find your deals (rather than just linking back to your blog's homepage). Need help doing this? Email me and I'll walk you through it!**

  1. Hey, Marianne, did you see the new Kroger game? I won $5 my first try! It's located here: http://www.gasandgrocerysweeps.com

Also, over on another blog, there were rumblings about a General Mills Mega Sale starting in 2 weeks. Time to get those coupons stocked up!
