Deals for Dining Out

One of the questions I fielded at my recent couponing presentation (which I still have yet to share with you; I've been busy as a bee with spring cleaning here) was how to find deals for eating out if you're single or don't have a tribe of kiddos at home to feed each night.

Here's a few ideas on how to keep more bucks in your pocket when you head out for dinner:

:: If the restaurant is a franchise/national chain, visit their website and look for "Promotions" or "Coupons". Or look for a "Club" to join on their site (a birthday club, eClub, etc - something where you need to register your information and email) and sign up; there are usually deals available to Club members only.

:: Check the deal forums! I can't stress enough how valuable forums like A Full Cup, Slick Deals, and Hot Coupon World can be in your journey to live well on less. Click here, here, and here to see the forums for restaurant deals at each of the above.

:: Dining with kids? There are OODLES of restaurants that offer Kids Eat FREE deals; several are listed here and here.

:: Have an Entertainment book? Use it! There are loads and loads of coupons in them for national chains as well as locally owned restaurants.

:: Last - and one of my fave for dining out at locally owned establishments - is Restaurant.com where you can purchase gift certificates for dining out AND use coupon codes to save even more AND (dum-da-dum) if you purchase them online through your Shop At Home account, you'll earn 25% cash back. Win...win...win! Right now, you can get a $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate for only $2.00 - WOOT! Click here and read Andrea's post to get all the details.
