Menu Plan Monday | Plan? What Plan?!



I plan my family's dinners in five week blocks to maximize my savings at the grocery store and minimize my stress at dinner time. You can read more about my strategy here in my Q&A post here.

This weekend, my kitchen was out of commission for a good three days as we did some repairs and painted. While things are just about back to normal (except for the paint splotches I still need to scrub here and there), having limited access in the kitchen for a few days in a row really threw me for a loop. Dinner was whatever I could make quickly and easily.

This is the last week in my menu plan; I'll be writing up a new one for the next chunk of spring soon.

Here's what's cooking this week!

Week 5 (April 19 - April 25, 2010)

Monday: Homemade Chicken Nuggets, Mac & Cheese, Veggies

Tuesday: Taco Night!

Wednesday: Red Beans & Rice

Thursday: Leftover Cleanout!

Friday: Grilled Chicken, Black Bean & Corn Salsa, Salad

Saturday: Free night!

Sunday: Grilled Brats, Pasta Salad, Fruit
