I'm over budget this week (I aim for $80 per week/$320 per month); however, we're trying something new in 2011 that isn't really *new* to most of you - we're using cash only for groceries, gas, and a few other "run-around" money categories on our budget.

While my hubs and I are pretty disciplined when it comes to using our debit cards (because we are both frugal freaks), one thing I am ALREADY liking about our new cash system is how it cuts down on my "putting the reciepts in the checkbook" time. As passionate as I am about saving money, I am just as passionate about saving time so this side effect of our little cash-only experiment has been wonderful!

FYI, I'm tracking my grocery savings in 2011 with this nifty, already-built-and-ready-to-go spreadsheet that my friend Andrea over at Savings Lifestyle has available for anyone to use on Google Docs. I highly recommend it! ;-)

If you're a new frugal mom or are just new to this whole couponing gig, feel free to read through the posts linked below to help you get started.

You can save like this, too!  In fact, I know you can do this; if you're surfing the web reading this site and others like it, you can learn all you need to know.

If you have any questions, please ask in a comment!  I love to share what I know about couponing and saving money with you -- it's why I write this site.  ;-)
