Coffee & Clicks | February 11, 2012 {Edition #29: Rising Beef Prices, Tailoring Your Resume, Food Allergies on a Budget}

Welcome to Coffee & Clicks, my weekly roundup of posts from my Google Reader and beyond that captured my attention.

If you find a few minutes to click around this weekend while you sip your coffee (or whatever fills your mug), wander through these posts and enjoy reading, reflecting, and relaxing.

:: If you've found yourself at the meat counter in your grocery store wondering if it's your imagination or if beef prices have skyrocketed, you're not seeing things. According to facts I've seen in USAToday and other news outlets, the 2011 herd was the smallest herd brought to market in 60 years. Add to that a high foreign demand for our domestic beef and you've got a perfect storm for high beef prices at the grocery store this year and into next. My advice: if you see a great deal on ground beef/beef in-store, buy it up and freeze it.

:: If you're looking for a job and need to update your resume, I highly recommend that you read HR Insider Information over at Savings Lifestyle. Andrea was an HR professional and gives some great tips from the other side of the hiring desk on how to make your resume stand out from the crowd.

:: If you're struggling to make your grocery budget stretch to meet the needs of shopping for family members or children with food allergies, check out Erin at $5 Dinners newest site, Food Allergies on a Budget. Erin deals daily with the food allergy issue with her own sons and really has walked the walk of eating clean on a budget by using coupons and maximizing sales. Food Allergies on a Budget is a great new resource - click over and see what it's all about and share your story about dealing with food allergies.

Have a wonderful weekend!
